Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club (URA FC) has finalized the acquisition of forward Fred Amaku, a free transfer from Kitara FC, as announced on their official website on August 6, 2025. The two-year contract positions Amaku as a key offensive target for the Tax Collectors, who aim to reclaim top-tier league standing in the upcoming season.
Amaku, 24, emphasized his enthusiasm for the challenge during the official unveiling. "Joining URA FC represents a significant milestone in my career. This club has a storied reputation and a clear vision for success—I’m eager to contribute to both," he stated. The striker outlined ambitious personal goals, including scoring at least 10 league goals and elevating URA's competitive edge.
The transfer required strategic negotiations, as Maroons FC and Kitara FC had actively sought to retain Amaku's services. Despite interest from other clubs, URA FC secured the deal, bolstering their attacking lineup alongside recent signings forward Kabon Living and goalkeeper Chris Pas Kusiima.
Amaku’s arrival follows URA FC’s mid-season push to address defensive and midfield concerns. With the transfer window closing later this month, the club is positioned to mount a strong challenge in the Uganda Premier League standings."
