England captain Harry Kane has dampened speculation about a potential return to the Premier League, suggesting that his desire to play in England again has cooled. The 32-year-old, who joined Bayern Munich earlier this year, has two years left on his current deal and is open to discussing a new contract with the German club.

In an interview on England duty, Kane revealed that his interest in returning to the Premier League has decreased since his move to Bayern Munich. "If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back," he said. "Now I have been there a couple of years, I would probably say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back."

Kane has been in impressive form this season, scoring 19 goals for club and country, and has reached 100 goals for Bayern in record time. He ended his personal trophy drought by lifting the Bundesliga last season and is keen to continue his success with the German club.

The striker is "willing" to discuss a new contract with Bayern, although he emphasized that there is no need to rush into any negotiations. "If it happens, it happens," he said. "I don't think there is any need to rush anything on both parts. Obviously, we are only two months into the season."

Kane's comments are a boost for Bayern, who are keen to extend his stay in Bavaria. Sporting director Christoph Freund recently praised Kane's form, saying that his side are "probably witnessing the best version of Harry Kane there has ever been".

While Kane is open to staying at Bayern, he has ruled out a move to the United States at this stage of his career. "I think MLS is too early for sure - the way I feel right now, the way I am playing right now," he said. "The MLS would be something later in my career when I am thinking about the last couple of years or so."

Tottenham, Kane's former club, have a "first option" to match any bid for the striker, but Kane's comments suggest that a return to north London is unlikely in the near future.
