Uganda's U20 women's national football team has begun intensive preparations for their upcoming World Cup qualification showdown against Zambia. Coach Sheryl Ulanda Botes has called up 32 players, primarily featuring the squad that defeated Namibia in the previous round, with captain Desire Katisi Natooro leading the contingent.

High-Stakes Qualification Battle

The Queen Cranes will host Zambia on February 7, 2026, at FUFA Stadium in Kampala, with the return leg scheduled a week later in Lusaka. Uganda advanced to this stage after a dominant 5-0 aggregate victory over Namibia, while Zambia overcame Burundi in their second-round fixture.

"The team is focused and determined to keep our World Cup dreams alive," said team officials during the training camp at FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.
