The Uganda U‑17 women’s national side, popularly called the Teen Cranes, has reached Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in time for a preparatory friendly scheduled for Thursday against the host nation.

The encounter serves as the final tune‑up before the team joins the CECAFA U‑17 Women’s Championship, which kicks off on 13 June in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Coach Sheryl Botes Ulanda has selected a 20‑player roster that will travel to Tanzania, with Uganda tipped as one of the tournament favourites alongside hosts Tanzania.
